Published Rates for Residential Solid Waste Collection, Disposal Available!
Scio Township does not directly provide waste hauling service. In an effort to provide the best rates for knowledgeable potential customers, Scio Township has developed a list of preferred haulers for solid waste and recycling services within the township. The Township requested fee schedules from haulers with the understanding that these prices would be made available to residents in a public forum. Residents can then make an informed choice among participating haulers. Click here for the most recent list.
The Township has received published rates and/or fees for services only from responding haulers. Participation in this program is strictly voluntary by haulers. This data is shared with Scio residents on this Web Site by clicking here.
1. Information SUPPLIED
The attached questionnaires from the haulers state the maximum rate to be charged for the respective services. You should contact the hauler directly at their phone number as stated.
2. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
The haulers agree to conduct operations in compliance with all applicable laws including any and all state and federal laws and regulations related to waste disposal or hazardous substances as part of any participation in the preferred hauler program. Violation will lead to removal from the program.
3. PREFERRED STATUS
So long as the hauler is not in default for failing to honor the published rates or modifying the rate schedule without notifying the Township, the Township will maintain the hauler in good standing as a preferred hauler. Failure to honor or update the provided rates and services will lead to immediate removal of the hauler from the published list. The Township assumes no responsibility for any inaccuracies of the information provided by the haulers. Haulers wishing to be added to the list should call the Township at (734) 665-2123.
